Professional Italian teacher

I am an Italian teacher living and working in Italy. I have been working in the field of language learning and translation for more than 10 years, as well as having been a language learner myself since I was 14. You can read about my formal qualifications at the bottom of this page.
I have been teaching online since 2020, and in this time I have collected a series of tools and techniques that make online learning as enjoyable and motivating as in-person classes.
I know how hard it can be to remain motivated and engaged while learning a language, and that is why I have developed a methodology that allows me to accomodate your needs and interests, while also keeping the final goal always in view.

Mission.

Vision.
My aim is to empower you in your journey of discovery. Language learning is an individual feat, so you alone can walk that path. However, I will be there to provide the tools, the support and the encouragement you need to remain focused and motivated.
My qualifications:
Teaching.
Cambridge DELTA (Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
Despite being about teaching English, this qualification gave me insight into how people learn languages. I understood more thoroughly what it means to teach a learner-centred approach and what “good teaching” really means, and I have been able to apply the same methodologies and insights into my teaching of other languages too.
Translation.
Master’s Degree in Translation
After studying Chinese language in Venice, Italy, I decided to specialise in translation to and from Chinese and English. I have completed the MA programme with Merit, and have had a chance to translate a range of texts, from literary genres to technical documents.
Literature.
Master’s Degree in American Studies
To top my passion for languages, I have decide to complete my education by focusing on American literature and cultural studies. I have developed a passion for 19th century American literature, as well as for literary criticism in general, but most of all I have become a more critical reader of any text.
